SIGN UP TO BE A VOLUNTEER
There are heaps of advantages to being a volunteer for OUSA Events - you get to see what goes on behind the scenes, meet lots of people, make new friends, and be showered with free stuff (we like to show you our appreciation for helping us out). Volunteers are needed all year and OUSA Events' Volunteers receive extra perks for contributing their time (ie: free entry to gigs, drink tickets for Refuel (the student bar), Academy Cinema tickets, and what ever else we can get our hands on for you). It’s also a great way to save money especially at Orientation and throughout the year. Read below to find out what’s on offer if you’d like to help out.
REWARDS FOR TIME VOLUNTEERED
- 16 hours work = 1 Orientation Passport (valued at $95).
- 20 hours work = If you do 20 hours volunteering you get an invite to the Orientation Volunteers Party to be held on Sunday 2nd March.We will supply food and heaps of refreshments, all you need to do is turn up.
- Over 20 hours = Refuel Rewards, Academy Cinema tickets, and much more.
MEETING
There will be an Orientation Volunteers Meeting on 18th February 5pm in the Student Association building (You’ll see it marked on the Uni map). When you get there follow the signs to get to the boardroom. At the meeting you will be required to read and sign the Volunteers Code of Conduct, plus we will go over Health and Safety Issues and you’ll be able to sign up for jobs for Orientation.
