100th Blues & Golds Awards

Blues and Golds

Every year OUSA presents the Blues and Golds awards. These are the highest honour OUSA can present to those students who have excelled in their chosen extra-curricular activities.

Dating back to 1908, the Blues are the premier award for sporting achievement by students at Otago University . 2008 is the centenary year of these awards and as a result the ceremony will be particularly prestigious. The ceremony for this year’s 100th Blues Awards will be held in the Link, with Lorr aine Moller and Chris Laidlaw as guest speakers.

The Golds Awards focus on achievements by students at Otago University in artistic and cultural pursuits. Awards include Golds for Individual Cultural Achievements, the Society Administrators Award and Society of the Year.

Roger Hall will be the Guest Speaker at this year’s Golds ceremony.

If you know of someone who you think should be rewarded for their achievements and efforts then nominate them for an award! For more information contact: cdo@ousa.org.nz. The deadline for all nominations is 4pm Friday, 22nd August 2008.
