THE CAPPING SHOW BEGINS - May 7th-10th and 12th-17th
The capping show is offensive, but that's what’s so great about it and this years theme is Batman. We try our best to be inclusive and not leave any sector of society out of the enjoyment of being completely ridiculed (this show is not to be confused with your capping graduation ceremony where you dress in your finest, parade down George Street and then you and your loved ones are transfixed by the scintillating speeches from very important old folk). Your mum will however cry at both shows - one because she is proud and the other because “why are you in that video and she didn’t bring you up to behave like that”.
Put quite simply, the Capping Show is the funniest live act you’ll see all year. It touches on many of the current and not so current events of the past few years, satirising people and problems which no man would usually dare! Also sticking with tradition it features the comic stylings of the Selwyn Ballet (meaty guys in tu-tus), The Sextet and Sexytet (raunchy harmonious songs), and the Knox Farce. Come along and laugh until you cry. Tickets available at OUSA for $12 (during the first week) and $15 (during the second week). This show sells out every year so get in to avoid disappointment OR, if you were a bit of a clever-clogs at the start of the year, you’ll have bought a Super Pass at O-Week which means you can go for FREE! (But you will need to claim your ticket at OUSA)
Tickets available from OUSA reception or online!
