BADMINTON BEGINNERS
This course is designed for the beginner level. It primarily focuses on the fundamental skills of badminton including the basic knowledge of equipment, rules and regulations and techniques, as well as the basic skills and knowledge of badminton through instruction, footwork, serves, strokes, drill, and play. Racquets and shuttlecocks will be provided.

CAFE COFFEE MAKING
This course is offered in conjunction with the School of Hospitality, Otago Polytechnic. In this course you will gain a basic understanding of espresso coffee. Specifically, you will: Learn to identify the main bean types and the countries that they are grown in. Cover a brief history of coffee. Identify and understand the basic coffee types. Stretch and texturise milk in an appropriate manner for each coffee. Understand the quality indicators of good coffee extraction. Gain a basic understanding of machine components and general maintenance.

SWING DANCE - BEGINNERS
This course is for beginners. Swing dance swept everyone away in the 30's and 40's and is back in full force across the globe. Come and learn the basic partner moves that will have you up on the floor dancing to your favourite Big Band/Jazz in no time. It is preferrable, but not essential, to enrol with a partner. If you are enrolling with a partner, you will both need to fill out an enrolment form.

UKULELE - ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS
Learn the basics of playing one of the most fun and simple stringed instruments, the Ukulele! This course caters for absolute musical beginners as well as those with some musical experience. Ukulele's are provided and are available free for course participants to practice outside of class. (Available for hire otherwise).

YOGA - LUNCHTIME
Lunchtime yoga for the busy! One-hour mixed level classes that promote improved flexibility, stress relief, relaxation, toning, increased strength and stamina, improved concentration and mental focus. These classes are designed to cater for all levels of physical ability including absolute beginners. The course tutor is trained in the lyengar school of classical hatha-yoga and has a wealth of experience and knowledge about yoga. NO ENROLMENT NEEDED! Pay on the day for the classes you attend or use our prepaid yoga cards! Please Note: If class numbers exceed a comfortable level, entry may be restricted.
Bring: Comfortable, non-restricting clothes (jeans are too tight for this form of practice); Please have clean feet if you wish to use our equipment. Yoga is done in bare feet.
