OUSA TEACHING AWARDS
The University of Otago is New Zealand's most research intensive university, it is also the top-ranked university for research quality. We at OUSA think that’s great, but we also recognise we have some of the best Lecturers in New Zealand. The OUSA Teaching Awards seek to acknowledge those Lecturers whose style, delivery, personality and/or handouts, makes them deserving of a Teaching Award.
The OUSA Teaching Awards are run each year where the top ten Lecturers are awarded, and where one supreme award is given to the top Lecturer.
This year we also have a special award for the funniest lecturer and the lecturer who has shown outstanding support for students with disabilities.
The awards recognise excellence in educating you!!!
OUSA choose not to define what great teaching is, we believe that you as students intrinsically know who is a truly great educator. Past awards tell us even though teaching style differs, what is special is that each recipient inspires students in their chosen subject.
