Education Officer
Hi my name is Jordan Taylor. I am your Education Officer for 2013. My job is to make sure you get the best possible qualification from this university. Whether It is setting up a symposium to showcase our research capacity or sitting in a two hour university board meeting, I am here to maintain, change and safeguard student interests when it comes to your degree here at the university.
The position of Education I believe is one of the most crucial roles on the OUSA executive. On the executive, Education is the most exposed position to the university with a placing on all major committees and boards and has the responsibility and ability to change courses that are not doing students justice.
This year I hope to weave education even more into the University. I believe the closer and more exposed I can make this role, the easier it will be for OUSA to voice opinions to the university. Already OUSA has an amazing relationship with the Vice-Chancellor of the university, but I feel for us to be more effective in the future, we need the same relationship with all staff at the university.
