Flax weaving

Flax weaving

Flax weaving traditionally had many uses, not least as a way of passing on culture, through the patterns in woven articles, as well as the stories told and beliefs affirmed. As modern materials eventually replaced many of the original uses of flax, the art of weaving has very much entered the realm of the arts, ensuring the survival of this ancient skill.
