Inspired by the current state of affairs at the campus, with rampant cases of stress and anxiety, culminating into severe intoxication, depression, abuse, and even suicide; I am inspired to start a club called 'Bhakti yoga' for the betterment of the students, to help them cope with their busy lifestyles, and to aid in providing a holistic lifestyle integrating ancient wisdom and living practically in the present! Yoga means 'to connect' or 'union'; a science that leads us to consciously connect with ourselves and with life. Bhakti yoga is the most ancient form of practical application of yoga in each of our lives. We intend to have interactive thought-provoking sessions with students in our club, which will not be restricted to just stress management or peaceful living and mindfulness. There will be sessions of meditation on sacred sound, knowledge about health and wellbeing, presentations, followed by fresh vegetarian meals!
Thursdays, Fortnightly, 5.20 pm, OUSA
1st session: 28th Feb, 2019
