Wanna Check out the Competition??
Then follow the link below to the OUSA Photo Comp gallery.
Photos will be uploaded every few days.............. or so............ Enjoy :)
When: Submissions will be taken from July 1st - July 31st, 2019
There is a limit of 3 entries per person.
Prize money: $125 first place, $75 second place and $50 third place. Prizes are awarded via electronic transfer.
THE BIG PRINT:
This isn't the World Press Photo Awards, or the Sony World Photography Awards, not even the National Geographic Photo Contest. We won't be using Kodak Ultra Premium paper to print your images on, or getting Mike Hollman into judge the competition. We will try to get all images displayed during Art Week (5th August) but no promises. We will try to get winning entries published in the Critic, but again no promises. And we don't tend to communicate with you, or give feedback. Sorry, it's just not that sort of comp.
So if any of the above isn't for you, then best to steer clear. This one is for fun. No theme, or criteria, just send us your best three in and someone is going to win both the bragging rights and $125.
The Slightly Smaller Print:
Terms and Conditions: Copyright remains with the author The photo must be the work of the submitter. It must not have been published elsewhere including self-published or published on a website (although we accept most decent (and indecent and truly awful) images will have been uploaded to some form of Social Media platform, so no worries if Instagram/ FB/ etc got there first). Photos will be judged anonymously. The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entrants agree to have their images and names published on the OUSA website, Facebook page/s, Critic, Healthy Campus Magazine, Art week displays, Recreation Centre Bollards or any other OUSA media avenues. In light of the above condition of entry, please ensure you have the prior permission of any subjects identifiable within the photo to enter their image into the competition. OUSA reserves the right to remove any entries from the competition
Cost: Free (and restricted to) Otago University, Otago Polytech, and Otago Language Students.
