No current classes for Semester 2 2023.

OVERVIEW

This five-week introductory course will cover a range of wheel throwing pottery skills where you learn how to build a variety of creations, under the expert tutelage of local Potter Riki Julin.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED

No previous experience is required. Those with previous pottery experience are encouraged to use the class time to work on their own projects, or join in with the rest of the class.

WHAT TO EXPECT

During the course you will work clay, centre your project and make a basic small cylinder and how to make cups, saucers and bowls. You will get time to create, experiment and decorate and prepare your pieces for glazing. Your finished pieces are returned to the OUSA Clubs and Societies Centre following the final firing and will be available for collection from the Centre (usually within 2-3 weeks after the final class).
