The timeline for the week is:
20th July (Monday): Change to Impact
Catch the Chat (Episode 1 of Impact Series)
What: Got a project idea, or a pet peeve that you really want to tackle? Join Startup Dunedin and the Sustainability Office for a day of idea generation to hype up your projects that have the potential to change our campus for the better. This way you will get support to progress your idea through to a completed funding application. You'll get to listen to some inspiring local leaders too! SEA Submission Writing Session
What: Political Action is one of the most important things we can do. DOC is currently consulting on the development of the South Eastern marine reserves, which protect the marine areas around Dunedin. Come chat with SEA, Forest and Bird and OUSA. We will be covering why the marine reserve is important, feedback you can give to DOC and some tips on how to write a great submission. We will also have food available to fuel you while we discuss, write and learn.
21st July: Break the Funk
Where: Any George Street Bus stop
When: All day!
What: The buses are free all day to St.Clair! Head to any George Street bus stop, take the number 8 bus, with 'st Clair' displayed on the front (passes about every 30 minutes). Head out to St. Clair. Once you've had your fill of the beach, Meet the bus at the same spot it dropped you off at St Clair, to catch the ride home.
DIY Cleaning Products
Where: Kitchen in OUSA Clubs Societies building,
What: Drop in at anytime between 4:30 and 6:30pm to learn all about making your own cleaning products. Great for the budget and for the environment! You will need to bring your own containers, jars, and spray bottles to take your cleaning products home! ($5 fee)

What: Don't just put out milkshakes to attract the boyz to your yard. Learn from AAPES and SEA in a DIY session of making bird feeders and skink friendly habitats to attract NZ wildlife and make your backyard more sustainable.
What: The Lorax is one of the best films out there and it has a very important message. Come on down and have a watch. Popcorn will be available, please bring your own container.
22nd July: Find your Alternative
What: Some of Dunedin's businesses and groups which advocate for sustainability will have some things for sale, some yarns and showcase their brilliant goods. Get involved, come and have a look. Second Hand Bike Sale
Where: Union Lawn or MCR (if wet)
What: Come along and check out our range of bikes collected and repaired from landfill with Malcam Trust and Carrington College. Yours for just a small koha. Get in quick, this one will be a hit!
Starters Bar Quiz
What: You know the drill when it comes to bar quizzes. This one is entirely sustainability themed quiz, see how good you are on the susty facts.
23rd July: Get it Sussed
Where: In the middle of campus (union walk)
What: Not sure how the bus works? No stress, we are bringing the bus to you! Have a chat to the team to answer all your Q's about the buses across Dunedin and get your hands on a free Bee card. Cupcakes and coffee vouchers are up for grabs too!
What: We got you sussed with the launch of this beaut. Get your hands on our new poster to get your flat and sustainable changes sussed! We'll also be around to chat about small changes we can make to have an impact day to day.
DIY Beeswax Wraps
Where: Kitchen in OUSA Clubs and Societies
What: At this drop in workshop, you can swing by Clubs & Socs and our tutor will walk you through the very easy steps of making your own beeswax wraps. We will have all of the equipment and you will walk away with 3 beeswax wraps made by you to take home.
Popcorn Presentations (Episode 2 of Impact Series)
What: The Popcorn Pitch episode involves our local legends chatting about changes that they wish to see happen on campus. As a participant you will get to present your ideas to some key players across the University. Not a participant? Come and catch the Impact Series ideas being discussed between our student and University leaders. Support those doing some great stuff and we'll shout the vego pizza for the evening!
24th July: Take Action
Free sh*t shop AND Make and mend
What: There will be a whole heap of clothing which you can get for free. Alongside the free clothes will be a Stitch kitchen, experts in making and mending to help you repair any clothes that might need it (be it your own or ones you just picked up). A koha would be much appreciated, all funds going to Stitch Kitchen.
Where: University Recycling Center, 51 Clyde Street
What: Pick up some sweet furniture for the flat, and a snag, all for FREE at Uni's Recycling Centre! Desks, book shelves, tables, chairs etc. It's all good sh*t and it's all free, just come down and take your pick.
