The OUSA Recreation Programme offers a diverse range of activities designed to help tertiary students connect, learn new skills, and try something new. From workshops and multi-week courses to day trips and social activities, the Recreation Programme creates opportunities for community, personal growth, and self-discovery. By providing welcoming and accessible experiences, we aim to support students in building connections and making the most of their time while at uni.

 

OUSA's Recreation Programme is looking for a facilitator to deliver 6-8 cooking workshops for tertiary students throughout 2027.

 

Workshops will be held in the OUSA Clubs & Societies kitchen facilities, with sessions running for approximately 2-3 hours and catering for up to 10 participants. We are looking for someone who can create engaging, practical workshops that teach students affordable and delicious meals they can recreate at home.

 

• Has experience cooking in a commercial or professional kitchen

• Understands food safety and hygiene requirements

• Is confident teaching or facilitating groups

• Can offer a variety of workshop ideas and recipes

Workshops will run across March, May, August and October, with dates arranged around facilitator availability.

 

This is a contractor opportunity, paid on a per-participant basis (approximately $15-20 per attendee, subject to minimum workshop numbers).
