WHAT ITS ABOUT
This course is for those who have completed our beginners course (see the link below), or who have had previous Salsa dancing experience. If you are not too sure, contact our Recreation Programme Coordinator on email@example.com.
This "continued" course builds on the basics you learnt in the beginners course. It will take your skill level, and love of Salsa, to the next level. Expand your knowledge of salsa movement, and learn some more combinations to practice with your friends. This is a fun, social dance to learn with friends, new and old.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are enrolling with a partner, you will both need to register.
A LITTLE ON THE FACILITATORS
Augusto is the founder and director of Dança Latina Dunedin. He teaches all the dance styles at his dance school. He also teaches Salsa at OUSA and Vuelta dance. This year he will be joined by Emily Armstrong, who is Augusto's dance partner, and they travel to teach and compete around New Zealand and Australia. She started dancing at a very young age, training and competing in Ballet and Jazz for many years. She started dancing Salsa and Bachata about 13 years ago, and over time trained in a wide variety of other styles including zouk and kizomba. For 8 years, Emily taught many of these styles at her dance school, Salsa Club Dunedin. She also owns and runs a dance school for children.
