Boxing for Fitness

   

         In championing the ultimate student experience, we host a tonne of activity across the academic year.

         Whether you want to learn a langauge, a new style of dance or pick up a random craft we've got you!

         We aim to have a wide variety of stuff to do, catering for all interests and allowing you to step outside of your comfort zone.

         Make new mates, pick up a new skill or learn how to look after yourself in your first years of flatting.

         Activity runs from 9th January 2023, and will be loaded in December 2022. Stay tuned!  

     

 

 

Boxing for Fitness

OVERVIEW

Boxing as a fitness activity enables the average person to hone the same athletic skills as boxer, all without having to take a punch. If you’re hoping to get in great shape and improve your health this course would contribute well to your training regime. 


WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED

No previous experience is required.


WHAT TO EXPECT

This is a fitness-based boxing course, with some technique work. You will be doing a combination of cardio and strength training drills incorporating the use of gloves, focus mitts and skipping ropes, whilst also looking at some basic fight techniques. It isn’t for the faint-hearted so be prepared to sweat it out. No pain, no gain!

Ending 29th August 2022
Fee: $35.00 Bring Wraps/gloves if you have them, closed-toed gym shoes, sweat towel, drink bottle.
