Drawing for Beginners

Drawing for Beginners

OVERVIEW

Tutors Fiona Shaw-Robertson and Mathew Robertson both hold BFA degrees and are practising artists working skilfully with a diverse range of methods and media. They have both been teaching for over 20 years.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED
No experience at all! This course is very much a judgement free zone and run by very experienced tutors who will guide you on your way.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This course will teach you the “line/s of drawing”, properties of different grade pencils, observation skills, the drawing “process”, beginner “techniques” and helpful hints and the use of tone/charcoal to depict form. You’ll primarily draw from “real life” objects (as opposed to photographs). There will be plenty of time for questions and answers and lots of encouragement to develop your own style.
