OVERVIEW

Ballroom dance is a set of partner dances, which are enjoyed both socially and competitively around the world. It covers a wide variety of different dances including waltz, foxtrot to quickstep to ballroom tango!


WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED

This course is for beginners, no experience is required!


WHAT TO EXPECT

Students will learn the basics of ballroom dancing- how to dance with someone and the basic moves. In the beginners class students will learn to waltz and foxtrot in- two ballroom dances that while similar, have different styles and music. Both styles will be taught over the 5 weeks, building on skills each week and adding on, to have a routine by the end of the programme.


STREAM 1: BALLROOM DANCING FOR BEGINNERS Friday's, final session on Thursday 1 April (Good Friday) 5:00pm - 6:00pm 5 sessions starting 5th March 2021
Ending 1st April 2021
Fee: $35.00 Bring shoes that won’t damage the floor, a water bottle, comfortable clothes that you can exercise and dance in.

STREAM 2: BALLROOM DANCING FOR BEGINNERS Friday's 5:00pm - 6:00pm 5 sessions starting 16th April 2021
Ending 14th May 2021
Fee: $35.00 Bring Comfortable clothing, non damaging footwear (to the floor) and a drink bottle
