Getting Started in Coaching

OVERVIEW

Interested in giving coaching a go this year? Already coaching but have a couple of questions? This course is open to anyone already coaching or interested in coaching at any level. It will be lead by Grant Milne, Community Coach Advisor from Sport Otago. Grant has extensive experience and knowledge in sports and coaching having coached and competed at an international level in Touch.


WHAT TO EXPECT

No previous experience is required and you don't need to be a current coach. This two hour workshop aimed at developing your coaching curiosity, and to help you coach with confidence. You will cover the following topics:

Know Athlete, Know Yourself
Plan-Deliver-Review-Plan
Character vs Performance
Gamesense
