Introduction to Adventure Photography

Introduction to Adventure Photography

Curious to learn how to shoot in Manual mode and discover the full potential of your camera? Do you want to have more creative freedom to experiment and find your own style? This introduction to Adventure Photography is suitable for complete beginners to those with some experience.

The focus will be on understanding your camera's manual functions, how to compose a good photo, and how to edit the photos to make them look even better. We will be creating a mix of portrait and landscape photos, which embody the theme of adventure.

This workshop is also open to those who use their smartphones for photography. Although the quality of photos will differ, the concepts learnt in this workshop apply to almost all types of cameras.

We will start with a quick introduction and run down on camera specs before we head out on our own adventure to the Otago Peninsula. Last stop will be Tunnel Beach for sunset. Finally, we will come back the next day for a photo editing workshop to wrap it all up!

What to Bring: Sturdy shoes, extra layers and snacks and water! You will need your own camera and lenses (or GoPro or Smart Phone). You will need your laptop for day two’s editing workshop.
