Sewing: Alterations & Mending

WHAT ITS ABOUT

Have you done the Sewing 101 course? Already know the basics? Then this is the workshop for you! Come along and bring the too long pants you got from the op shop, or your favourite hoodie with a rip and Rae will guide you through the process! In this class we will assess the items you bring in and discuss the best solution before you fix up your items.

REQUIREMENTS


You must have either taken the Sewing 101 course or know the basics of machine set up and techiniques and hand sewing. 

Please bring along the items you with to mend/alter.

 

A LITTLE ON THE FACILITATOR

Rae has been a design teacher for 7 years. She has designed, made, repaired and remade everything under the fashion sun, from high street fashion to wearable art and costumes. Before teaching design & textiles she also studied Fashion Design at AUT in Auckland.

 

Please note registrations close 72 hours before course starts 

 

Want to use one of the sewing machines outside of the course? You can flick us an email to request the use of a sewing machine. You must have done one of our sewing courses first.
