Weaving with the Multicultural Weavers Association

Weaving with the Multicultural Weavers Association

Though this activity isn't directly managed by OUSA we think its something you'll enjoy. The workshop is hosted by the Otago Museum and facilitated by Emma Kesha (an award-winning Samoan weaver).

Learn the art of weaving in a relaxed and friendly environment.

You will learn to make a woven, square place-mat from florist ribbon. If you are experienced then you can make a basket or a ball. This is a beautiful art to learn in a small and social group setting.

All materials provided, please allow three hours; food and drinks are available for purchase from the Museum Café, or bring your own.

Suitable for ages 10 and over. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
