Fundamentals of Drawing

Build your drawing skills from the ground up in this beginner-friendly Fundamentals of Drawing course! Over several sessions, you’ll learn core techniques by working through simple ceramic forms, exploring tone and edges, and then progressing to plaster casts of Michelangelo’s David. You’ll start with approachable features like the mouth, move on to the eye, and finish by learning the Reilly Abstraction—a useful grid system for constructing the head (which we delve futher into over at the Life Drawing class).

No previous experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to learn.

This course is taught by Andrew McCulloch, a dedicated artist and educator with extensive experience in traditional drawing methods and helping students build confidence and skill.
