Life Drawing

Explore the human form through life drawing in this beginner-friendly course! You’ll learn the Reilly abstraction method, a system for simplifying and designing the figure efficiently, by drawing casts, bones, and live models. Charcoal will be our main medium, but the skills you gain can be applied to oil, ink, graphite, watercolor, sculpture, or digital art.

No experience is needed—just patience and an open mind. All equipment is provided. Please note that a live model will be present, and partial or full nudity may be displayed; guidelines are in place to ensure a safe and respectful environment, including, but not limited to, there being no devices such as mobile phones or cameras in use once sessions start.

The course is taught by Andrew McCulloch, a lifelong artist with extensive teaching and exhibition experience, passionate about sharing practical drawing and painting skills in a supportive environment.

 

The ticket will provide you with 5 sessions running the following days and times:

Thursdays, 6pm - 8pm, 23rd April - 21st May
