Fancy yourself as a bit of a wordsmith? Feel the need to unleash the inner, or outer poet in you. Then get those creative juices dripping, and wax lyrical. Or simply go mad in this semester’s poetry competition. The theme? There is none. So the possibilities are endless, timeless, ageless, perpetual, everlasting, enduring and without end. So collect your thoughts and get writing.
THE BIG PRINT:
This isn't the Nobel Prize in Literature or even the Montreal International Poetry Competition. We won't be publishing entries in The New Yorker, or getting Sam Hunt into judge the competition. We will try to get winning entries published in the Critic, but no promises. And we don't tend to communicate with you, or give feedback. Sorry, it's just not that sort of comp. So if any of the above isn't for you, then best to steer clear.
This one is for fun. No theme, or criteria, just send us your best 3 in and someone is going to win both the bragging rights and $100. Enjoy.
Submissions will be taken from 1st August - 31st August, 2018.
Simply click button at bottom of page to access entry form.

Free (and restricted to) Otago University, Otago Polytech, and Otago Language Students.
