OUSA Receptionists & Duty Supervisors
Roles:
We are currently recruiting student Receptionists and Duty Supervisors to work in 2026 for both OUSA sites at our Main Office and Clubs and Societies Centre.

Main Reception | Casual Positions
Casual Receptionists will provide cover for the Main Office Senior Receptionist. There will be daily one-hour shifts each week to cover lunch breaks (typically between 11:30am & 2pm). There will also be on-call shifts as required. During busy periods of the year, such as event weeks, we have additional shifts to assist the reception team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome students and visitors and assist with any enquires
• Field phone calls and emails
• Process transactions and sales
• Receive incoming lost property and manage lost property requests
Clubs & Socs Centre | Receptionists & Duty Supervisors | Fixed- Term Positions
Receptionists and Duty Supervisors operate off a roster system and offering at least one scheduled shift per week. Additional to your agreed scheduled shift(s), there is occasionally on-call work to cover shifts for others. All shifts are fixed term, typically starting at the beginning of Semester One and concluding early November.
Key Responsibilities:
• Welcome students and visitors and assist with any enquires
• Administrate room/van bookings and clubs equipment for hire
• Process point of sale transactions, such as $4 Lunch
• Field phone calls and emails
Duty Supervisors - These roles support receptionists and the centre when core OUSA staff are not on site. Including key receptionist duties, Duty Supervisors will supervise staff and be the first port of call for any issues that may arise.
Available shifts include:
Weekdays:
• 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 2:00 PM – 5:15 PM
• 4:00 PM or 5:15 PM start – 10:15 PM
Weekends:
• 8:45 AM – 3:30 PM
• 3:30 PM – 10:15 PM
