Welcome to Matagouri Rural Health Club, a team of medical students from the University of Otago who are passionate about rural health.

Matagouri Rural Health Club aims to spark and sustain interest in rural health amongst medical students during their undergraduate training. Members work collaboratively to organise events that involve networking with rural health professionals and like-minded colleagues. Matagouri Rural Health Club is a valuable educational resource for the Rural Medical Immersion Programme (RMIP), rural GP placement, Rural Hospital Medicine Training Programme (RHMTP), and more. We coordinate with similar groups to foster positive relationships between various cohorts and health professions.

Matagouri Rural Health Club welcomes and supports any medical student who is interested in rural health. A rural background is not required. Membership is free. To register, please complete the form below.
