The Medical Research Students Association (MRSA) is a student-led research group that aims to cater to the academic and social needs of medical students at the Otago Medical School who are currently conducting research or are interested in experiencing what research entails.

This group will run activities such as Journal Clubs, Writing Groups, and Presentation opportunities, as well as host events like a symposium for presentations. We have a welcoming environment where students learn from their peers and researchers about what it means to conduct research, as well as make connections with one another. Our goal is to promote research among medical students, as this is crucial for the future medical care of our patients, and to provide support and guidance for students in initiating research.
