Students for Environmental Action (SEA) is the primary environmental activist group on the Otago University Campus.
The club aims to offer to everyone a chance to help reduce our collective impact on Earth 🌏 by learning from workshops such as the working bees, sharing during social events (potlucks, movie nights, pot-plant sales…) and taking action when needed (School4Strike, clothes swaps…).
SEA also works closely with other groups such as Slow Food Movement, the Otago University Tramping Club, ResAwesome, Stitch Kitchen and Resilient Dunedin which offer plenty of volunteering opportunities as well as being the perfect gateway to the wider susty community. 🌻
We also run the Student Garden - a community garden for students (and non-students) where we compost and grow veggies. You can come anytime you want or join our weekly meetings there, every Sunday from 1 pm onwards to meet people, learn and share harvests. The student Garden is located on the corner of Forth and Dundas Street. All welcome! No gardening experience needed. 🌱
Always eager to hear new ideas from you or answer any questions you might have, don't hesitate to reach out!
