Board member -

There was discussion if Alice Sowry should remain on the PMDL Board since she has resigned from OUSA, she expressed a willingness to remain on the Board.

There was agreement for Alice to remain as she has lots to offer, for continuity and to ensure there aren’t too many executive members on the board.

PRESIDENTS BUSINESS
Reduce the use of plastic bags – The President was approached to see if OUSA could encourage students to reduce their use of plastic bags.

It was suggested that we could approach local shops to discourage them giving out produce etc in plastic. Also could the DCC supply Eco bags especially around the campus. Payal and Chris will work on this.

It was agreed OUSA should get behind this idea.

Physics Department – Intrinsic Electron Quantum –
Cindy McPherson and Chris Jackson have been liaising about tutorials to support postgrad’ students.

GENERAL BUSINESS
International Students Quiz – Toa has been busy organizing events for International Students and others. He has organized a quiz for Monday evening between 6-8pm in the Commerce Building. Pizza and good prizes including a bike.
