OTAGO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION BUDGET 2017
Isaac introduced Debbie Downs our Chief Executive Officer and Jesse Hall our Finance Officer if there were any questions or discussion about the budget. It has been posted online for the past fortnight.

03/16 THAT the Otago University Students’ Association Budget 2017 be set.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Paul Gourlie addressed the meeting to ask explain his desire for a resolution to encourage the University to share the Union Building. He explained being on the Executive when the University Union building was built with 50/50% ownership of the building between OUSA and the University. He is keen to see more student activities and forums in the MCR as that was the purpose of the building.
He also said he would like to see the coat of arms on the OUSA letterhead again. He likes the logo but said the coat of arms looks more official and professional.
Paul explained OUSA is the only students’ association with their own coat of arms and should be displaying it.
The University coat of arms is ‘Dare to be Wise’ and OUSA’s is ‘We Dare’. “Lets’ dare he said”.

04/16 THAT OUSA acknowledge and challenge the University of Otago we own half of the Main Common Room and the University Union Building.
