Selwyn College – James reported the meeting went well. The SCSA were successful in overturning the College’s decision.

A student hurt their wrist in the dance room. A minor incident with no harm.
ELECTIONS CANDIDATES FORUMS MODERATOR
As the attached memorandum states – Critic and Radio one would like to moderate at the election forums coming up.
There was a request for questions to be formulated in advance, however it was decided they wouldn’t be.
The Critic Editor insisted the forum would be run professionally and presented well.
This would be an OUSA Event but it could be advertised as being run by Radio One and Critic. They could share advertising from the OUSA Facebook advertising.

The President of VUWSA is requesting OUSA’s support when they rally outside of Parliament on 22 August to ask for more support for mental health at tertiary institutions.
Abigail offered to write a letter on behalf of OUSA and send it through to the Executive.

Postgraduate Officer Resignation – Kirio Birks sent a letter of resignation to the Secretary last evening.
It was appropriate to run a By Election alongside the 2019 Elections coming up so we need to get moving on this.
In the meantime the Education Officer and the Welfare Officer offered to help with sitting on committees Kirio was on. Kirio will send a list of committees to Caitlin.
Kirio offered to help out in the next couple of weeks, write up a handover document and submit the third quarter report on the due date of 20 September.

Marketing and Communications Manager – Debbie advised a verbal offer has been accepted and the paper work is underway. Late October is the proposed start date.
Pō Whakangāhau Kapa Haka dress rehearsal – Tiana would appreciate us all turning up to this in the Union Hall on 20 September at 6:15pm. Gold coin donation.
Te Roopu Māori/OUSA get together – please confirm via the doodle poll being set up.
Free Graduation photos - OUSA haven’t the resources to do these this graduation and wish to acknowledge it isn’t a good use of our time and money. It was suggested that Professor Vernon Squire – Deputy Vice-Chancellor be approached to see if the University wanted to continue with them.
