MATTERS ARISING
Climate change March – this went very well. Looked like about 1000 people assembled in the Octagon. University students left the Union lawn to join the March to the Octagon.
Referendum – it was pointed out that there needs to be pros and cons included on the voting page as the reasoning makes the questions biased. James will work on this later on.

- Ongoing improvements being made to our systems
- Aquatic Centre sprinkler broken
- Aquatic Centre – a broken pipe outside needs repaired
- Starters Bar – patronage slow at the moment although many bookings have been made.
- Student Support Centre – down a staff member so keeping things busy
- Planet Media sales – quiet presently

It was requested if in future we could add a paragraph requesting a student representative be appointed to the Vice Chancellors Advisory Group (VCAG).

BEREAVEMENT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Renée Garner was Education and Welfare Vice-President in 1997 and President in 1998. She was the second Máori President of OUSA and of the first female Presidents.
Sadly Renee died suddenly in Wellington on 18 May 2019. She is survived by her husband Brooke and daughters Isabella and Sofia.

COMPULSORY STUDENT SERVICES FEE (CSSF) SUBMISSION
As attached to the Ministry of Education.
OUSA Executive support NZUSA’s submission.
Request the breakdown of the Student Services Fee on the University website needs to be clearer of how the fees support the service.
It was submitted to ask if the decision making on the Student Services Fee could go out to all students for consultation.
Could a student representative sit on the committee/board?
Section 3.10 and 9.6 add – Mental health services.
William will send a copy of the submission to the National Education Committee.

Minerals Forum – ‘stop the coal minerals’ forum being held tonight at the Dunedin Centre. All invited to attend.

Starters Bar – the extended hours have been approved. They have been trading on a temporary licence with the same hours but now it is officially approved.
Referendum polling – the Executive and a volunteer will be managing the booth in the Link from 11-2pm approximately for the three days of voting.
Sign-up for Valid Voter for local body elections – another BBQ will be held on Wednesday between 12-2pm near the East Link area.
