WHAT ITS ABOUT

 In this workshop we will discuss the process of fermentation, some ways you can reduce food waste at home and learn how to make kombucha which is a very simple process!

A LITTLE ON THE FACILITATOR

Mia is a Marine science and ecology student here at Otago, deeply passionate about sustainability. They are the current president of Slow Food Youth Otago which is a club on campus dedicated to promoting food practices that are good for the planet, safe for consumers, and fair for producers. Mia has an interest in how we can feed ourselves in a sustainable way and bridge the gap between people and the origins of their food. They are enthusiastic about the fermentation process, gardening and finding ways they can can reduce food waste !
