MATTERS ARISING
150 copies of the OUSA History Book have arrived. There will be two book launches later on and Donna will distribute to OUSA departments after talking with the Author.
Executive 2020 Nomination advertising –
- Georgia has been on group chat regarding Lecture bashing
- Josh will get onto emailing clubs and societies with a notice
- Chalking to be done today
- Ben was praised for making a great video in such short notice. Looks great!
- James will follow up with Jack if the Colleges have been notified by him
- Donna explained she was contacted yesterday by the University about the Global emails not being ready to go out today as organised. Donna had sent the request through 3 weeks ago. It is imperative the Global email goes out before Thursday.

OUSA UPDATE
James reported:
- Nominations open today at 9am and close Wednesday at 4pm.
- Mayoral forum this coming Thursday
- Emergency Preparedness Week this week – be prepared for events
- The OUSA Survey is out now – a suggestion was made that the order of questions could be randomised to allow question order to refresh.
OTAGO POSTGRADUATE ASS’N & OUSA MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

5.1 is this for consumables and the funding will come from the operational budget? OPA would be eligible to apply for grants.

372/19 THAT the Kayli Taylor be granted speaking rights for the duration of this meeting.

Kayli said there is a Club that is very willing to endorse the suggested motion to lobby the Government and other organisation that an independent body be established to monitor and report on the institutional response of all NZ Universities and Polytechnics to sexual violence against students and staff.
Te Roopu Maori are wishing to get in behind this as well.
The Feminist Club will be invited also.

373/19 THAT OUSA lobby the University of Otago, the New Zealand Government, the Tertiary Education Union, NZUSA and all students association that an independent body be established to monitor and report on the institutional response of all New Zealand Universities and Polytechnics to sexual violence again student and staff.

STUDENT GENERAL MEETING MINUTES FOR NOTING
The draft minutes are for noting these for go to the next Student General Meeting for acceptance. As stated previously stated this was a good SGM and the new constitution and rules have been registered at the Companies Office thus new positions can be implemented for next year.
GENERAL BUSINESS
School Strike for Climate – there is a stall being organised for the Octagon on 27 September. It was agreed OUSA would also have a stall and give out food etc. Also willing to assist.
Community service – the Executive agreed some time ago to have a working bee at the Araiteuru Marae, James will see if they can accommodate the Executive on 15 September to help clear do some gardening and clear their section.
