Starters Bar kitchen – a staff member was burnt from splash back after dropping food into the deep fryer.  We are investigating the incident and training will be undertaken.

SKIP DAY ALTERNATIVE

Andrina from property services sent an email explaining the last skip day in north Dunedin was overridden with trash and furniture.  There was over 40 tonnes of rubbish on the first day.

It has been suggested that a change to this could be two open days at the Wickliffe Street recycling and rubbish depot for students to take their rubbish so it could be supervised.  There will need to be help from students and Exec with transportation down there.  It was suggested maybe Campus Watch may wish to assist with trailers etc.

The present system with skips will remain this year but be phased out after that.

Jack Saunders will collate feedback and filter it through to Property Services.

OUSA/TRM MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING COMMON SEAL

GENERAL BUSINESS

Affiliated Club Council – this meeting is coming up on 2 September.  Any items to Dushanka please.

NZ National Elections 2020 – owing to Covid-19 interruptions the government have announced the elections won’t be held on 19 September but will be on 17 October.

This was good news for our Politics week organisers as they will continue with their sign up campaign a bit longer. It was noted the national figure for enrolments of 18-24 age group is only 59%.

Marketing and Communications – the executive need to have a meeting to get advertising done for the up and coming executive focussed events.  Josh, Jack and Francesca will approach them later today.
