Open letters to MP’s Jacinda Ardern and Judith Collins – Jacinda was handed her letter by Jack Manning when she visited campus recently. He is yet to email and then post a hard copy to Judith but will do asap.

OUSA UPDATE
Internet connections at Clubs and Societies building still being worked on
Events are moving to the Clubs and Societies Building this week to be ready for the DCFBF. Other departments waiting on the go ahead but need to be getting ready to move.
SSC are getting ready for their roof to be repaired and the exterior of the building to be painted.

Critic accolades - the Aotearoa Student Press awards were held on Saturday. Critic won best publication, best design equal, best news story, best news reporter, best photographer equal, best column (the bachelor - thanks Jack Manning), best humour, best editorial and best covid-19 coverage. First time in almost a decade that Critic have won best design. 9/20 categories were won by Critic. A big congratulations to Sinead and her team.
TE ROOPU MAORI UPDATE
Study Retreat – they are all out at the Waitati Marae holding a retreat
Hand over with new Executive
AGM held last week and the two vacant positions were filled. Now a full Executive for 2021.
They are all focussing on examinations now.
OTAGO POST GRADUATE ASSOCIATION AGM MINUTES

As attached. This letter is for the TEC from the University of Otago, this is sitting parallel from our letter given to the PM’s. They ask that we endorse their letter.

NZUSA – There was a meeting held in the Council Chambers between NZUSA committee members and other student associations from around the country on Friday. At this meeting OUSA’s application for Associate membership of NZUSA for 2021 was declined. There were very robust discussions held. Jack will inform us at a later date the reasons for it being declined but wanted to investigate if the meeting was public before he does so. He intends to supply a written report later.
