HEALTH AND SAFETY

Debbie sent out a notice to everyone explaining that we won’t be going back to work until level 2. The cleaning and safety checks will apply before we commence level 2 work. If you have something in the office that would assist you working from home, you may go in and pick it up and leave.

There is planning to be done with the stricter requirement by the Government making signing in mandatory, especially with the clubs and societies building.

Community Grants applications – these are well underway and ready to submit by the due date of 1 September.

OUSA now eligible for the wage subsidy payments and the resurgence payments. All have been sending consent forms back to Lauren.

OUSA UPDATE

Karamea and Melissa have been instrumental in getting the pop-up vaccination clinic set up at the Stadium for Monday and Tuesday. They have been doing a fantastic job.

NZUSA UPDATE

            The letter from OUSA regarding their finances has been sent.

EXECUTIVE ELECTIONS 2022

Statistics stated there were 3026 votes. A successful Election held with modifications to the campaigning being made to assist the candidates who had to revert to campaign online owing to the Lockdown.  OUSA endeavoured to assist them. 

Congratulations to all the successful candidates especially our current executive members Melissa and Maya.

GENERAL BUSINESS

CEO on leave – Debbie will be away Wednesday.

Submission – Conversion Practices Prohibition Legislation Bill – please email Mhairi with feedback before 7 September.  She remarked there has been a lot of people writing in against this submission.   Also working on the submission to allow you to change your identity on birth certificates.
