OUSA Equipment Hire Terms and Conditions


  1. Eligibility:
  • Equipment hire is exclusive to OUSA affiliated clubs and Societies, as well as OUSA departmental use. Exceptions require manager approval on a case-by-case basis.
  1. Charges and Liability:
  • No fee or bond is applicable for equipment hire.
  • The individual booking as an agent must accept liability for the group in case of loss, theft, damage, or unfitness for use. Charges for replacement, repair, or cleaning may apply at OUSA's sole discretion.
  1. Identification:
  • A valid student ID from the agent is required upon equipment collection.
  1. Inspection:
  • The agent must conduct a visual check upon collection, reporting any unfit equipment or visible damage to OUSA.
  1. Return Conditions:
  • The agent is responsible for returning the equipment in its original condition.
  • Any inability to return the equipment in the same condition must be promptly reported to OUSA, along with the reasons.
  1. Timely Return:
  • The hiree must return the equipment on time as agreed upon.
  1. Sub-hiring:

Equipment is not to be sub-hired to any individuals or groups.

  1. Additional Terms:
  • By confirming this booking, you agree to abide by our full Terms and Conditions as outlined on our website.
  • Equipment must be returned in the condition received.
  • Damages during the hire period are the responsibility of the hiring club, covering replacement or repair costs.
  • Equipment should be returned in a clean and tidy condition; failure to do so may result in additional cleaning fees.
