MINUTES OF THE OUSA EXECUTIVE MEETING HELD IN THE OUSA RECREATION CENTRE ROOM 2, ALBANY STREET, DUNEDIN ON MONDAY 25 MAY 2015 AT 5.20PM

MATTERS ARISING
Local Alcohol Policy – Paul advised there has been further delays of the announcement. The decision has been reached but nothing formalised yet
There has been notification in the media the Boogie Nights and Capone Bars are closing in the city.
OUSA to write a letter to the DCC reinforcing the impact the Local Alcohol Policy is having on bars and to draw attention to it. Nick Findlay offered to do this.

UNIVERSITY COUNCIL CAMPAIGN
Paul said how important this campaign is to ensure two student representatives on the University Council. He said this could impact on students for the next 10 years.
Over the next month OUSA needs to work hard on a campaign to emphasise OUSA’s position to retain 2 student seats.

SATELLITE CAMPUSES EXPENDITURE AUTHORISATION
OUSA is reformalising the funding for satellite campuses and will continue with MOU’s to ensure they can still operate. These campuses can’t access facilities but still pay fees.

GENERAL BUSINESS
Colleges Officer leave of absence – Taotao advised the exec she will be in India from 29 May until 7 July 2015. She has Sustainability Week planning started which occurs whilst she is away this includes intercollege participation.
