MINUTES OF THE OUSA EXECUTIVE MEETING HELD IN THE OUSA CLUBS AND SOCIETIES CENTRE BUILDING, ALBANY STREET, DUNEDIN ON FRIDAY 15 APRIL 2016 AT 1.02PM

135/16 THAT the minutes of the executive meeting held on 11 April 2016 be accepted as a true and correct record.

REFERENDA QUESTIONS

As attached.

Jarred addressed the meeting and explained the process and how the submitted questions will go to the Mediator to set the wording of the question and ensure they aren’t frivolous etc.

Rachel arrived at 1.10pm

Ensure that the matters put to the Referendum are put fairly and that they are put in such a way to ensure that the result is a free expression of the members’ opinions rather than being dictated by the form of the question.

Laura went through each questions and invited discussion.


Alexia arrived at 1.13pm

It was agreed all submissions will go to the Mediator and further discussions will take place after they are finalised.

STUDENT NUMBERS FOR SEMESTER ONE

The University reported in the Otago Daily Times the student numbers for the first semester are 17,153.  This gives a number for quorum purposes.
